Welcome to Splash & Shine Christmas Lights! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and our residential, permanent, and commercial lighting services. By hiring us for design, installation, maintenance, or removal, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Splash & Shine Christmas Lights provides professional holiday, permanent, and commercial lighting services in and around Cambridge, MN. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Residential Seasonal Lighting – Custom-cut Christmas light design, installation, service, and takedown.
  • Permanent Lighting – Year-round architectural lighting systems, color-change features, and maintenance.
  • Commercial Lighting – Storefronts, office buildings, restaurants, and large-scale displays.
  • Repairs & Maintenance – Seasonal light fixes, permanent lighting troubleshooting, and bulb/wire replacement.

All installations use professional-grade materials, cut and tailored to fit your property.

2. Quotes and Scheduling

  • Estimates: All estimates are free and based on information you provide. Final pricing may change depending on property conditions, customization, or scope.
  • Scheduling: Once a quote is accepted, we’ll schedule installation or service at a mutually agreed-upon time.
  • Weather Delays: For seasonal installs, extreme cold, snow, or unsafe roof conditions may require rescheduling. Permanent and commercial installs may also be delayed if conditions make work unsafe. Splash & Shine reserves the right to adjust dates accordingly.

3. Payments

  • Due Date: Payment is due upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted Methods: Cash, check, and select digital or card payments.
  • Late Payments: Past-due balances may incur fees or lead to suspension of service until paid in full.

4. Warranty and Repairs

  • Seasonal Lighting Warranty: We will return up to three times at no charge during the season to fix bulb issues or minor product failures.
  • Customer-Caused Damage: If a customer cuts wires, breaks lights, or alters the setup, we provide one free repair visit for minor issues. Larger replacements (e.g., rewiring or replacing strands) will be billed.
  • Permanent Lighting Warranty: Permanent lighting systems are covered by the manufacturer’s product warranty plus our installation guarantee. If issues arise due to faulty installation, we will repair at no cost within the first season. Customer misuse or damage is not covered.
  • Commercial Installations: Maintenance and service visits are included as specified in your contract. Bulb or strand replacement beyond normal wear and tear may be billed.
  • Emergency Service: Customers with major outages may receive priority scheduling.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure safe and proper service, customers agree to:

  • Provide clear access to the property and electrical outlets.
  • Disclose any known issues with roofing, siding, shingles, or gutters that could affect installation.
  • Understand that clips are attached to shingles, gutters, or other structures as appropriate — which does not cause damage under normal conditions.
  • Keep walkways clear of cords or wires to prevent tripping hazards.
  • Avoid tampering with or modifying lights after installation.

6. Liability

  • Property Damage: Splash & Shine is insured and takes care to avoid damage. We are not liable for pre-existing issues or damage caused by fragile, aged, or poorly maintained surfaces. If we inform you of potential risks (e.g., brittle shingles, cracked gutters), Splash & Shine is not responsible if damage occurs.
  • Personal Injury: We are not responsible for injuries caused by tripping over wires, customer misuse, electrical shock, or unauthorized adjustments.
  • Third-Party Products: Permanent lighting systems use professional-grade materials supplied by third parties. Warranty coverage for defects is subject to manufacturer terms.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied, please notify us within 48 hours of completion. We will evaluate and offer a solution, which may include adjustments, touch-ups, or a partial refund at our discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

All website content, including logos, photos, and service descriptions, is the property of Splash & Shine and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

9. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use it for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to hack or gain unauthorized access
  • Upload viruses or malicious software

We may suspend access to our website for maintenance or policy violations.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with the effective date. Continued use of our services confirms acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Minnesota law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Isanti County, MN.
